Many people who plan on quitting smoking never start because they’re scared that they’ll have to go through nicotine withdrawal. That’s the reason why most smokers, before they actually quit, really want the answer to the question – how long does nicotine withdrawal last?

To have an understanding of why people dislike nicotine withdrawal so much though, let us first briefly cover what its symptoms are. Most smokers, especially the heavy ones, have probably already experienced some mild form of nicotine withdrawal already. If you wake up every morning with shaky hands and a real need for a cigarette, you are experiencing a bit of what it is like to go through nicotine withdrawal.

A person who is really quit’ll experience much more than just shaky hands and cigarette cravings though. Other symptoms may include being easily angered or irritated, high anxiety, trouble focusing, being uncharacteristically depressed, and difficulty sleeping at night.

Fortunately, if you do quit smoking, you will not have to experience symptoms like these for the rest of your life.

I highly recommend you go through this content very cautiously, the case and the solutions have plenty of differences. While the actual length of time may vary from person to person, most people get over the most intense of the withdrawal symptoms within the first few days, and continue to experience them for a month or so. It may take as long as 2 months before the symptoms really fade, but it usually should not take longer than 60 days. Some luckier people may only experience most of these symptoms in the first few days or couple of weeks.

Going through nicotine withdrawal symptoms is never pleasant, which is why you will always want to do your research and make sure you are doing everything right in your efforts to quit smoking, so you know you are not going through withdrawal for nothing.
